Pre-Professional Accelerated Programs allow Pre: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Podiatry (3+4 Tracks) students as well as Physical Therapy (3+3 Track) students the option of earning both their bachelor's degree and graduate degree in a shorter period of time after successfully passing all courses in the first year of professional school at Temple University.
Application Process
Students interested in an Accelerated Program should apply during their first semester of freshman year through the PPHA Canvas site.
Please note that transfer students are not eligible for accelerated programs. Additionally, students interested in the Pre-Medicine 3+4 Accelerated Track must have been previously accepted to Temple University as a Pre-Med Health Scholar and should contact Pre-Professional Health Advising during their first semester to confirm their eligibility.
All applicants will be notified of their admissions / selection status for the program before the start of their Spring semester.
Accelerated applicants receive priority consideration for professional school admission. However, please note that this is not a guaranteed entry program into Temple's professional program. To gain admission, you must achieve the required grade point averages, obtain a competitive standardized test score, and develop a well-rounded professional profile through exposure and service during college, as well as perform successfully in the interview with the professional school. Final acceptance into the professional program is at the discretion of the admissions committee.
