Anna Kilmer '25

Psychology major; Cognitive Neuroscience minor

I started research in my sophomore year with Dr. Johanna Jarcho in the Social Developmental Neuroscience Lab, gaining experience in neuroimaging, participant recruitment, and running study visits at TUBRIC. My work has included research on parental abuse's effects on memory and cognitive biases, and brain function in social anxiety development. These experiences have sharpened my skills in collaboration and mentorship.

Recognizing my passion for working with children and my future goal of working in a clinical setting with this population, I secured an internship at the Temple Infant & Child Lab, contributing to research on brain development and memory milestones. I aim to work clinically with children and families, helping those affected by trauma and loss.

As an ambassador, I want to show that research is accessible to everyone, fostering connections and helping individuals explore their passions. Temple provides valuable support to undergraduates through lab experiences that offers course credit, personal research grants, and poster presentation sessions to share new knowledge with the Temple community.
