Supporting the long-standing commitment to facilitate transfer to the university, Undergraduate Studies oversees the development and implementation of policies and practices related to transfer credits, the development and ongoing support of community college partnerships, and collaborates with other offices within the university to provide information and resources on transfer credit equivalencies for current and prospective students.

Transfer Agreements
To better encourage and facilitate transfer admission from other colleges to Temple University, Temple has established articulation agreements with several colleges and institutions. There are three types of institution-to-institution agreements: Dual Admissions Agreements, GenEd-to-GenEd Transfer Agreements, and Program-to-Program Agreements.

Transfer Credit Evaluation
Initial evaluation of transfer credits is made in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Re-evaluation of credits will be done first by Undergraduate Admissions and when appropriate by academic advisors, in consultation with Undergraduate Studies, according to standard Temple policies and procedures.

Credit for Prior Learning
Temple University awards limited academic credit and course placement to students based on previous academic, employment, military and/or other learning experiences not earned in a traditional classroom setting.
