Eleena John '28
Biology major; pre-med track
Hello! My name is Eleena John, and I am a Biology major in Temple's Honors Program. I conduct research at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, where I study Candida albicans and Enterococcus faecalis biofilms under low-iron conditions to better understand microbial interactions, pathogenicity, and resistance. I love the hands-on nature of research and the way each experiment deepens my curiosity about how microorganisms adapt and survive. Research has taught me to think critically, stay patient through challenges, and value collaboration. As an Undergraduate Research Ambassador, I am excited to share my experiences and help other students discover the rewarding world of scientific research at Temple University.
