Merley Lafleur '22
Bioengineering major
In the Wang's Mechanobiology Lab, I study the effects of fibronectin fragments on breast cancer cells. During my time at the lab, I acquired many skills in the laboratory setting, in presentation, in scientific reading and writing, and in leadership.
I have enjoyed the benefits of doing research and felt the satisfaction of using my knowledge and skills to contribute to the overall advancement of medicine and the scientific community. I want others to have that experience as well and come to appreciate the importance of research in not only the health field but also to our society.
Other info about me: First-gen, love languages, Temple Badminton, Temple Cru (Christian Club), love to sing/read/music.
