Psychology major; Cognitive Neuroscience minor
I joined the Adaptive Memory Lab under Vishnu "Deepu" Murty my spring sophomore year. In the AML lab I have worked on numerous projects pertaining to memory. Specifically I worked on a fun study involving participants going through the Eastern State Penitentiary where we evaluated their memory in relation to fear. Currently I am pioneering my own project using Tik Tok to study time perception, memory, and emotional arousal. I also worked in the Research and Spatial Cognition Lab under Nora Newcombe and Tim Shipley working on understanding how using hand gestures to learn geologic concepts improves learning.
I want to be involved in research beyond my undergraduate career and I really enjoy it! So, I wanted to make it more accessible for other undergraduates here at Temple and share my knowledge!
Other info about me: I came in undecided freshman year and I was a Division 1 student athlete so I can help students navigate research, school, and sports! I am VP of Alpha Phi Omega, the service frat here on campus; I am VP of Psi Chi, the psych honors society on campus; I am an author for Grey Matters, the neuroscience journal club here on campus; and I am a psych majors association member.
